Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Crnch mobile application ("App") operated by Crnch ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account Registration

To use the App, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Description of Service

Crnch is a personal finance tool that generates credit card payment plans. The App:

• Connects to your bank accounts through Plaid to retrieve credit card balances, limits, and statement dates
• Accepts manually entered card information
• Generates week-by-week payment recommendations designed to reduce credit card utilization
• Calculates safe spending limits based on your current balances and targets
• Sends optional push notifications for payment reminders

Crnch is not a financial advisor. The App provides informational tools and payment suggestions based on publicly known credit scoring principles. We do not guarantee any specific credit score outcome.

4. Subscription and Billing

Crnch requires a paid subscription after your free trial period. The current price is $9.99 per month. Pricing may change with notice.

• Subscriptions are billed through Stripe via getcrnch.com
• New users receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends.
• Cancel anytime at getcrnch.com/subscribe. Access continues until the end of your billing period.
• Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
• Use automated tools to access the App
• Share your account credentials with others
• Misrepresent your identity or provide false information

6. Financial Data and Third-Party Services

When you connect your bank accounts, your banking credentials are transmitted directly to Plaid, Inc. and are never accessed or stored by Crnch. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and your payment information is never stored on our servers. Authentication is provided by Clerk, Inc.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, algorithms, content, and trademarks, is owned by Crnch and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that payment recommendations will result in any specific credit score improvement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crnch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis (class action waiver applies).
